A colloquial term that can be used to describe a junior/new member to a polyamorous relationship or the wider poly-community or a child who lives in a polyamorous household.
The term was coined in the 1800’s as a derogatory term but was claimed by the poly-community and redefined as a means to rebuke outdated, negative sentiments associated with the word.
